Today being Eid al Adha where every individual belonging to the Muslim community makes a sacrifice for their prophet by offering a goat. Followed by get together of the families over a feast, prayers and processions. Thus, on this day we give you a quick lowdown on Bollywood songs suiting this festival and adding more charm to it.
1. Arziyan – Delhi-6
This soulful rendition by ace music composer A.R. Rahman showcases actor Abhishek Bachchan’s gratitude and respect towards the almighty. Capturing joy and happiness among the crowd too is visible as they meet and greet after their spiritual prayers, dressed in traditional outfit and blessing by the elderly individuals in the family.
2. Jumme Ki Raat- Kick
This power packed number doesn’t need any introduction as Bollywood’s Dabangg Khan, Salman is on point to get in the celebratory mood for the listeners. Grooving with Jacqueline Fernandez, Salman Khan steals the show and makes this track an apt number for Eid celebration. While singers Mika Singh and Palak Muchhal pump in terrific energy the number as well.
3. Mubarak Eid Mubarak - Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge
Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen are seen celebrating and rejoicing with family and friends on the occasion of Eid. The song itself says it is a moment to celebrate with everyone around, without discriminating on the basis caste, creed, religion which is very much visible in the song as people from different background have come together. Lyrics are by popular duo Sajid Wajid.
4. Wallah Re Wallah - Tees Maar Khan
Though the movie bombed at the box office miserably, songs from the movie did well. Featuring Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, this peppy number is all about hide and seek played between Akki and Kat. Khiladi Kumar is comparing her to the moon and trying to impressing, just like always, Salman plays catalyst in their relationship. It is composed by Vishal-Shekhar.
5. Yoon Shabnami – Saawariya
Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor’s debut film, both the debutants stole the show with their charm and aura. In track too just like Akshay Kumar, Ranbir is comparing Sonam to the moon and complimenting her. Sung by Parthiv Gohil and composed by Monty Sharma was one of the picture perfect songs from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s flick.
